Fran Mantonya passed away May 1st, 2022, in her home in Oroville surrounded by her family. She was 85. Fran was born Frances Toinette Findley March 7th, 1937, in Phoenix Arizona. Fran married Jim Mantonya June 18, 1955, in Long Beach. Fran and Jim moved their family Greg and Kristi to Paradise CA 1964.

Fran was very active in her community including Indian maidens, girl Scout leader, and the Gold Nugget Museum. She was honored by being selected women of the year in Paradise 2005. Fran enjoyed traveling and spending summers at Fort Bragg. Fran was a member of the Paradise and Chico Church of Christ.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 5th at Newton-Bracewell Cremation and Funeral Service, 5691 Almond Street, Paradise, CA. The family request you send donations, in lieu of flowers, to the Gold Nugget Museum.
